Hi Philippe, You definitely need either a receiver battery or a switching type battery eliminator circuit. UBEC is a specific brand, but it has taken on a generic meaning for all switching type BECs
HI ERIC THIS IS A MATTER OF EXPERIMENTING LIKE ANY NEW SETUP PARTICULARLY A RACING SETUP THE SIZE COULD BE ANY THING FROM 1/2 INCH TO ONE INCH CHOKE DIAMETER. MEASURED ON THE ENGINE SIDE OF THE CARB!
Hi Victor, The Permax 480 motors are brushed motors. The HiMax you are using are brushless. Sounds to me like you are happy with the HiMax motors. Except for simpler set up, there is really no reason
