Shane, Good question. This is a first for me. I would have to say that there are only a very few departments that own or use helicopters. I have no idea how many but I live in a major metropolitan
H Stephen, Each of the services limit the number of GED applicants they accept for enlistment each year. The Air Force generally allows less than one percent of their enlistments each year to be GED
Nathaniel, The answer regarding probation is it depends upon the state you live in. Check your local state regulations regarding bail enforcement or whatever term it is called in your jurisdiction
Kenneth, By all means be up front and honest with a recruiter. I'll bet you spoke with the Army recruiter back before October didn't you. That's when their quota was met and they stopped giving waivers
Jeff, No I don't think it's too late. I have friends that I worked with that were over 40 when they started. A lot of Departments have an age restriction of 35. However once you turn 40 it's against
