I would say the dvd player is defective. If the 22dv501b is still under warranty you should contact the warranty agency about this matter.    If the unit is out of its warranty you may find it less expensive

If the hours are off consecutively, that is it strikes 2 at 5 then 3 at 6 and 4 at 7 for example, then just move the hour hand to point at the hour actually struck then reset the time with the minute hand

Normally with Emperor clocks the dial is held in place with 4 mounting posts that pin to the movement. I don't know of a source where I could guarantee that the dial would be compatible for a Jauch movement

Most local glass shops can cut a round or rectangular piece for you, if it's convex, it can be ordered from timesavers.com or merritts.com. The clocks with Chinese 31 day movements are mass market items
