| I can answer questions about tone, range, endurance, and basically all aspects of playing trumpet.
If I don't know the answer to your question I'll find out in a quick and timely manner. For the professionals above me I'm probably not going to be of much help, but for those below and around my level I should be able to explain everything in a more understandable way. | Available Ask A Question |

| I am familiar with most trumpets, cornets, and flugelhorns. I can answer most questions about playing and musicality. Best of all, if I can't answer it directly I play regularly in five bands and have several "old timers" that are familiar with most things that I am not. I collect, repair, and refinish old horns and have sold over 300 with more than 200 on ebay | Available Ask A Question View Past Answers |

| I am familiar with many trumpet makes & models...I currently own 13 that are not on the resale market, & are in constant use. I can answer most questions about playing and music in general. I can help you out with your next trumpet purchase or steer you in the right direction in regards to a horn you are thinking about purchasing...expensive/high end isn't always the best! I'm also familiar with many mics used for pickup. I'm quite familiar with a vast amount of the mouthpieces out there & can give you comparisons or recommendations.
I don't claim to be an expert on everything trumpet, & I'm sure there are MANY out there that know more than I, but I will do the best that I can for you with my knowledge & the knowledge of my friends.

2008-07-02 trumpet woes...: I think you will be surprised by the Schmidt. They play VERY close to a Strad and they are quite a bit cheaper. You got a great deal on it. The 610 is a nice horn that will be brighter than the Schmidt...

2008-07-02 F. Besson Brevetee coronet/trumpet: Ed, The Brevetee is most likely a cornet. It dates to about 1870 or so. I wouldn't let him use it for school. First it is a collector horn that has a pretty high value (about $500 in good shape) and second...

2008-07-01 Eastman Trumpet: You are very welcome! The Eastman is made in China, but they are good quality horns. I know it sounds strange but they are made specially for Eastman and are not the normal mass produced Chinese horns...

2008-07-01 Cornet: Rene, How do you know it was made in 1895? Goumat was indeed around that time in Paris France. If it says Austria it would be after that time. Probably made by Bohland and Fuchs using the Goumat name....
