| I can answer questions about the terms and clauses contained in an oil and gas lease. I can answer questions about the oil and gas leasing process, and give suggestions on how to respond and what to expect when contacted by an oil company or their representative. I can answer questions about selling minerals or royalty interests, and the processes involved. Some people prefer to sell rather than lease due to the apparent tax breaks, though these may change after the election. I can also answer questions about forced-pooling, correlative rights, conveyance (deed) interpretation, and deductions from royalties. I am most experienced with Oklahoma properties and laws, but am able to answer questions concerning other oil and gas producing states in many cases. | Available Ask A Question View Past Answers |

2008-09-05 Cost of propane vs. natural gas: You need to compare costs on a heating value basis using BTU. Your propane has a cost of $23.91 per million BTU (95,475 BTU per gallon, $2174.53/952.5 gal x .095475 million BTU per gal = $23.91per MMBTU)...

2008-09-03 Natural gas versus propane: You need to compare fuels on their BTU basis. If Natural gas is selling for $14 per MCF this equates to approximately $14 per MMBTU. If LPG (propane) is selling for $4 per gal this equates to $42 per...
