| Any questions on libertarian (political philosophy) and Libertarian (political party) issues.
Libertarianism is essentially the philosophy that each of us has the right to decide for ourselves how we live our lives. What you ingest, read, say, think, and do is not the business of the government and should not be subject to government regulation UNLESS these actions cause physical harm or infringe on the right of someone else to live accordingly. Contrary to what some would have us believe, it is not "pro-drugs", "pro-pornograpghy" or "pro-anything else". Neither is it "anti-drugs", "anti-pornography" or "anti-anything else". It does not advocate or condemn any of these issues but leaves the decision up to the individual. It is basically the concept that "That government is best which governs least." (A quote which is often, but probably erroneously, attributed to Thomas Jefferson). | Available Ask A Question |

| I am a card-carrying member of the Libertarian party and a Political Science major (M.P.A. program) at Eastern Michigan University. Either through first-hand experience or by referencing my library, I can provide answers not only on the "failures" of populist political policies, but how Libertarian policies could/would work. | Available Ask A Question View Past Answers |
