As a professional Fine Artist in sculptor and ceramics, I use electric KILNs to fire clays in greenware, bisque, slips, underglazes, glazes, and overglazes at cone 01 to cone 10. Glazes are made from recipes of chemicals to form different glazes and textures on my clay sculptures and ceramic pieces. Familiar with Majolica glazes and again make Majolica glazes through a recipe of chemicals. Experienced in molds and casting ceramic and porcelain slips. Creating architectural ornaments, tile, and tile murals is an area of interest in ceramics for me. I DO NOT give advice on firing in ones kitchen ovens nor the paints one buys at Hobby stores, polymer clay, nor do I appraise pieces. Available

2008-08-26  glazing:   Hi Joe, I will try to keep this as simple as possible for you 1) the glaze firing process requires 2 seperate firings. A bisque firing to turn the clay hard, but not hard enough so that a glaze will...
