I can answer questions on pretty much all CHICKEN breeds, including fancy and bantam birds. I can give advice on how to get the best egg production, brightest yolk colours and darkest egg shell colours, breeding, bird problems/illnesses (although I haven't yet found a good easy solution to scaly leg, which is something my birds sometimes suffer with, unfortunately, as this means a lot of hard work for me! I am open to suggestions!). I can give advice on all aspects of basic chicken care but I breed chickens for my own pleasure only, I do not often show or sell my birds. 2008-08-10  my chickens haven't started to lay yet:   You appear to be doing everything right! I can't really think why they wouldn't be laying. Try to still give them plenty of grit, and maybe even a little leftover meat as a treat to give them some protein...
2008-08-03  Chicken wound:   The antibiotics are ones you can get from your vets. Weigh her and then ring them up, tell them what is wrong and state how much she weighs, as it helps them to work out how to mix up. Clean the wound...
