I can answer all questions regarding Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).It is THE therapy for those with Borderline Personality Disorder and was devised by Marsha Linehan. It also helps people with Drug problems as well or both because the symptoms of the two are very similar. I can outline DBT's goals and aims and what the objectives are. I can answer questions about each of the four DBT Modules:'Core Mindfulness'.:'Interpersonal Effectiveness':'Emotion Regulation' and 'Distress Tolerance'. So if anything is unclear and hard to understand (which is perfectly normal)I can help you with that,go through it with you and explain its concepts as it can seem difficult. I can also explain why it is so important to repeat the skills regularly because it is difficult to grasp it all in the first cycle. It is an active therapy which focuses,in my mind,on the here and now and what we can do to help ourselves and build a life worth living-thats why its refered to as 'Skills Training'. I cannot answer questions as a substitute for professional Therapy. I cannot dispense medical opinion. But I can guide you on where to go from the place you are 'at' .....
