Hi Len- Home depot will have a similar product from a different manufacturer. The drying time is for whatever thickness you put on, and is why I prefer this type of compound in this situation, as well
Hello Len- Hot mud is a slang term for chemical setting joint compound. I believe Home Depot carries Beadex 20min,40 min,60 min, and 90 min muds. The numeral indicates the set time. They are absolute idiots
Hello Jim- Yes, its a pain, but it can be done with a little prep. All the loose paper must be peeled off(cut with a sharp razor knife is better) so that the surface is tight. The brown paper will want
