Electric motor winding redesign, AC and DC. Troubleshooting, motors controls generators. Vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, root cause analysis: electrical and mechanical. |
It seems the start button when pressed, energizes the soelnoid and it should pull down closing the contacts. But if it doesnt pull in and just chatters, it means either the applied voltage is to low,
The push button is not connected on one of the lines. The other line goes to 4-5. To reverse the motor you need to interchange 5 and 8 only. The high travel safety would be a limit switch somewhere
The VFD will drop the speed but the torque of the motor at that speed may not be sufficient to drive the agitator. For a very low RPM ie 0-50 it is best to use a gearbox and then connect the VFD so that
There are many reasons High power surges. Running the motors at full load on reduced voltage, causes the motor to run very hot and burn out Unbalanced voltages on the 3 phases. Moisture or other contamination
Usually a 230V motor is suitable to run at 208v. However on start up the starting current may be 3X higher. At this instance the voltage may even drop further especially if it has long cable run. So the
