***PLEASE NO QUESTIONS REGARDING PROBLEM BEHAVIORS. THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED BY AN ANIMAL BEHAVIORIST. EVEN IF YOU HAVE A LAB, BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS NEED TO BE ADDRESSED BY A PROFESSIONAL*** I'm happy to answer questions about the Labrador Retriever breed and about temperament, basic information about field lines versus show lines, training your Lab, grooming your Lab, and what it's like to live with a dog breed that's smart and versatile, but isn't for everyone. I can answer questions about conformation, showing, and breeding for the betterment of the Labrador Retriever.

Housebreaking, chewing, feeding Most medical questions are best handled through a local vet. I try to base my answers on carefully proven methods confirmed by my own experience. Much of what I know about dogs, I have learned raising a puppy every year since 1991 for a large dog guide school. I am familiar with several similar programs. Only you can tell if your dog is ready...if she has lost her normal quality of life and doesn't have that spark anymore, it might be time.  You may want to check with the vet to see if there is any medication

Thanks for taking the time to write so much about your lab.  It's hard to know what's wrong but I can tell you what I would do, even though you have seen the vet already.    I would make sure the dog has
