As a fourth generation Manhattanite I know this island very well. I can answer questions concerning day to day living on the island from grocery shopping to best ways of getting around. I've helped many people settle into their new home in Manhattan and have personally mentored them in all areas of the reality of living in this dynamic city. I enjoy helping 'transplants' to the island learn how to do everything from food shopping to getting a dog license. I don't answer anything to do with finding an apt. or finding employment. Just domestic issues which are very, very different than those of suburban and rural people. Most transplants don't have a car in Manhattan and are rather overwhelmed by doing things by walking, bus, subway and cabs. This is my best area of expertise - How to do it all and still have time for the rest of your life.
