Rick: The shudder could be caused by a contaminated or warped clutch disc.... Can you determine if: The shudder is caused by a distinct lack of engine power OR a mechanical issue such as motor mounts
Rick: Sounds like the automatic idle control (AIC) valve or a vacuum leak. The valve usually fails due to carbon buildup within, and can often be restored by generously spraying with carburetor cleaner
Big Big SMILE!! Stephanie, my interpretation of your first inquiry was that the dash lights go out when you go faster than 90 MPH!! Wow, I thought to myself...would an answer encourage reckless behavior?
Stephanie: Sounds very much like the starter, starter solenoid, or neutral safety switch. If by "wiggling" the shift lever during attempting to start, you get results, then the neutral safety switch
