I hike Yosemite several times a year & have done all the rim trails. Have done 1/2 Dome 11 times. Familiar with facilities/camping/concessions in the park. I do not do climbing.

I`ve hiked the back country of Yosemite, out of Twin Lakes (a marvelous ten day hike); I`ve twice topped Mt. Whitney. I`ve covered most of the Big Sur/Ventana Wilderness.

what I know most about Yosemite is the types of accomodations on the valley floor (I`ve stayed in all of them from the campgrounds to the deluxe Ahwahnee) and the major hiking trails: Vernal Falls, Nevada Falls, Half Dome, Upper Yosemite Falls, and Glacier Point 4 mile trail. If you think this is enough I`d be glad to help.

I have been going to Yosemite National Park since I was 10 years old (back in 1970), and consider one of my favorite places in the world. I have camped there, stayed in cabins, Housekeeping, and the tent cabins in Curry Village. I have gone on various hikes, and visited different sites.

Hi Laxmi, That's really a VERY tall order for just a week. You can easily spend a week in LA alone, or even San Francisco. And going from LA to Yosemite AND Sequoia is not a good idea if you only have
My area is Yosemite. Would be great if you could get three days in Yosemite Valley floor to see what's there. I like more economical lodging in Yosemite Lodge if you want rooms. Good cafeteria there
Hello - I don't know much about Sequoia Park, although I've been there once. If it were me, I would skip that and go to Yosemite if I only had one week. Sequoia has really big trees, but Yosemite does
well, I'm not that familiar with Sequoia so can't give you too much help there.....but I know it should take about a half day to get there from LA, depending on traffic. I do know that you need to make
Hi Nicole, I may have answered questions about Lodgepole since we do go to Sequoia. :) If you can possibly get a campsite in the valley, do so. There are three now - North Pines, Upper & Lower Pines
