What do you like about this subject?  The opportunity to help others become empowered over their health concerns and live well in spite of their illness.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  The lack of accurate and timely information concerning Endometriosis is staggering. My goal is to educate, inform and support women and girls through the Endo experience so they do not have to suffer as so many others have before them. Options do exist, and a diagnosis of Endometriosis does not have to mean endless pain or infertility.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Endometriosis is not cancer, but it can undergo a malignant shift as well as place the patient at an increased risk of certain cancers and other disorders. It has also been found in the autopsies of infants - and a handful of men undergoing hormone treatments for cancer.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Endometriosis is not cured by hysterectomy, medical suppression like Lupron, menopause, or pregnancy, despite old wive's tales that persist to the contrary. There is no absolute cure - but there is help.
