Expertise

My knowledge comes from first hand in the trenches experience. My only agenda is to see other parents avoid the pitfalls, misinformation, and agony of trying to find real answers to the unique struggles of raising a child with autism. I have experienced the process of diagnosis, early intervention, special education, behavioral therapies and treatment 3 times. My children range from PDD NOS to completely nonverbal. I can answer questions about diagnosis, referral for treatment, early intervention, special education, behavior interventions, and also biomedical/nutrition. I also know how to find services and support when there appears to be none.

Experience in the area

I am not a doctor, but I am a mother of 3 on the autism spectrum and a special education advocate. My children span the autism spectrum from mild to severe, so whatever the question, I have probably had some dealing with it.
