First thing I would do is get more RAM. You only have 256 which is not really sufficient to run Windows. Get as much as your system will allow if you can afford it. Also, try to update your sound
You dont have a lot of hard drive space remaining.....remove some useless programs and files you dont need to free up some more space if possible. Also, I asked you how much RAM you have in the machine
Try this... Shut down the computer Remove the battery Remove the power cord Hold the power button for about 30 seconds Put the battery back in Plug it back in Press Power See if that works
