Hi Kathi, Startup Illustrator and do not open an image. If you do not see the swatches, quit and then hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (win) or Cmd+Opt+Shift (mac) immediately after double clicking the icon
Hi Pete, You have to select each individual item or items to change the stroke (outline) color. In your toolbar, you will see the fill color as a solid square and the stroke color as a hollow outlined
Hi Pete, The easiest way is to convert the items into a Live Paint Group by selecting the objects you wish to color - say the hair, then clicking on them with the Live Paint Bucket. You can then see
Hi Tim, In the layers panel, go to Flatten Image. The issue however, sounds like you have a lot of effects running in the image (shadows, etc). For that you can either switch to Outline Mode (View>Outline)
Hi Edward, A stroked line will not mask. If you select the lines, you can go to Object>Expand and this will convert the lines into shapes. You then can use the Pathfinder panel to Unite (top left button)
