My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
About 20 years' experience in daily use, from version 1
University educated and over 2 decades of hands-on experience
My first printer was a Star LC10 Colour and I once paid £1745 for an HP Laserjet III.
I have loved CorelDraw since the early days, when the product shipped with an hour-long VHS tape of how to use it! As far as I know it was CorelDraw which "invented" the scalable font and the program came with over 300 fonts included. At that time the leading competitor, Pagemaker, was uncomfortable and clunky to use by comparison
You can create TrueType fonts with CorelDraw.
CorelDraw's method of selecting objects with a marquee is easy to use, and it only selects objects which are completely surrounded. This makes much better sense than Adobe Illustrator, which selects everything you touch.

Hi Touch If you want the "best" quality you must save the image as .tif. This is because a .tif file is saved exactly as you see it in Photoshop. .jpg files are smaller because the .jpg format uses
Hi Nicky If you can not install that font, CorelDraw will surely ask you to choose a substitute font when you open the file. You will need to choose another Chinese font file from the list and choose
Hi Ramen I have encountered this same problem myself some years ago, but the problem went away and I don't know why. To work around the issue, try using Save As.. to save your file. Another possibility
Hi Mark Something has mucked up for sure, but I'm not able to say what! I believe the Print properties box might invoke either a part of your printer driver software or possibly a part of the Windows
I can vaguely remember the Corel Media Indexer but I never knew what it did and I'm sure you can live without it, if you can figure out how to disable it. It was possibly something to do with the vast
