My main area of continuous expertise with CorelDraw involves setting press advertisements and I have rarely used it to produce complex drawings. However as director of a small company I have amassed a good deal of background knowledge of computers, various printers and networks over the years. When it comes to problem-solving, I have a long history of having nobody to ask but myself and, lately, the internet!
About 20 years' experience in daily use, from version 1
University educated and over 2 decades of hands-on experience
My first printer was a Star LC10 Colour and I once paid £1745 for an HP Laserjet III.
I have loved CorelDraw since the early days, when the product shipped with an hour-long VHS tape of how to use it! As far as I know it was CorelDraw which "invented" the scalable font and the program came with over 300 fonts included. At that time the leading competitor, Pagemaker, was uncomfortable and clunky to use by comparison
You can create TrueType fonts with CorelDraw.
CorelDraw's method of selecting objects with a marquee is easy to use, and it only selects objects which are completely surrounded. This makes much better sense than Adobe Illustrator, which selects everything you touch.

I don't think these textures are saved as separate files at all. Your colour settings are saved as variables when you click the + and give it a name. I would have thought your texture would be saved
Hi Javed I am sorry to say I cannot help to restore a corrupted file. If the file is large or important you should have backups and shame on you if you do not! I would only suggest that you try to
On my XP system running X4 the location is: C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4\Custom Data\Textures It may be different on your computer, but you didn't give me any information on
Ah, now I understand! This is easy in CorelDraw once you know how. First you must convert the text to curves (Arrange.Convert to Curves or Ctrl+Q). Once you do this, you cannot edit the text any more
Hi Parth The key to exchanging information between different applications is to find a format which both applications understand, and which maintains the editability of your work. Save your file
