Expert Profile: Robert Watts

Expertise: I can answer pretty much any kind of "How do I do this with my mac?" question and help with most types of system troubleshooting. I can answer questions about applications like Office, iTunes and general problem solving. I can help troubleshoot backup/restore problems or help you create one (even if you don't have Time Machine). I can also help sort out network problems- even those between macs and PC's. I don't use iLife video or web applications (iWeb, iDVD, iMovie) or iWork or apples .mac/mobile me service. I use Mail, iCal and address book with a gmail account.

I am not able to help with any type of file sharing service or program (p2p/torrents etc) or DVDcopy programs.

Experience in the area
I've worked with OSX since it came out. I'm PC to Mac convert and can also help other PC users who need to find suitable programs for the mac that are not available on PC. I know mac under-the-hood (I use the command line a lot) and have a solid understanding of OS X's unix core.

I am software developer of 10 years by trade.
