I can answer most Mac and related questions. I still use OS 9 from time to time as well as OS X 10.4 through 10.7. Let me know me what model Mac you use and what version of OS X you use since many times it is helpful to know (10.5/Leopard, 10.7/Lion, etc).
I've been a Mac fan since 1990 when I first got a Mac SE/30. Been using Macs at home and at work ever since.
None at this time.
None. Just ran across this Mac tutorial application for Mac users running OS X 10.7 or later: http://tinyurl.com/boqqog7
I've been working for the last 12 years as an Macintosh I.T. administrator at an advertising agency.
I did take a Apple certification test 5+ years ago.
Help neighbors with their PC's and Mac's. Ran a Macintosh bulletin board system for many years. I've lately been asking a lot of questions to the AllExperts linux gurus, and thought I would try my hand and give back by answering questions about Macs.

Hi Paul. I've used phpMyAdmin a few times but not enough to answer your question. Try asking one of the Unix/Linux people here on AllExperts your question. They might be able to answer. Here is
Ah, good question. One way to get so you can see and drag the Applications folder is to start with what you did - Go to the "Go" menu and go down and choose "Applications" and that will open the Applications
So you just need to add the "Applications" folder to the dock? You can drag the "Applications" folder to the dock where it used to be with your mouse. For example: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/adding-and-removing-dock-icons-in-mac-os-x
No, you won't damage your Mac. It's not that hard on it. You can still keep using the Mac and doing your "power button 10sec shutdown". But keep looking for a OS X 10.4 Install disc. And maybe rather
If you wanted to work around the problem, I think you could download the Zip download of the program Pacifist located here: http://www.charlessoft.com/ Since I think it can open .dmg files I read.
