I can answer most questions from the 80`s, and probably everything concerning Kimberly and Shane storylines.I am not as familiar with the last few years but I do still know some about that .
I have watched Days since I was in the 6th grade and I watched faithfully every day for most of the 80's. I taped it every day and watched most episodes numerous times.

I am not sure why Bo started calling Shane governor, Bo usually had nicknames for just about everyone. As far as I know he always called Shane governor as soon as hey became friends. Thank you for letting

A lot happened during the Miami storyline. It involved Kim, Shane, Victor, Patch, Bo, Hope and in a way Stephano. There was a contest between Shane's boss, Victor and Petrofsky (I think that was his name)
I can see where your daughter might have gotten a little confused. Marlena's sister was introduced many years ago, before EJ was even thought of, I am not even sure if Stefano was around at that time.
I don't remember about someone trying to kill Hope, but I do remember the tunnels. They were used a few times in storylines. Bo hid down there to try to avoid the police and I believe someone kidnapped
