Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  More than 700 airlines operate worldwide and hundreds of independent consolidators hold ticket re-sell agreements with many of them. The result is that on any given day, more than 58 million airfares will exist and for any group of a hundred seats on an aircraft, the pax will have paid as many as 28 different prices. In this environment, shopping is an art.
What do you like about this subject?  In helping people research, plan, and meet their travel needs, I enjoy the conversations with people from across the globe.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I hope to continually advance airtravelcenter.com as a free travel which enables people in all countries to do the same work and even more than they would expect from a travel agent.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Yield management pricing employed by many airlines is incomprehensible by the traveling public.
