I can Answer Video Game Compatability Problems (PAL, NTSC, JAP) for Atari 2600, 5200, NES, Super Nintendo/SFC, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Gameboy, GBA, DS, Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive/Genisis, Game Gear, Mega CD, Nomad, Saturn, Dreamcast, Lynx, Jagura, Philips CDI, 3DO, Playstation, PS2, PSP and Xbox. Plus Ways around them to play wrong regions games on most consoles.

I also have an extensive knowledge of service and repair with most home consoles as well as arcade/pinball machines.

I have a reasonable general knowledge of most new to older games (I personally own about 1000 games and almost every console known to man.)

Experience in the area

Playstation, SNES, SATURN, Genisis/MD, NES, MS conversions. Controler conversions SNES to NES. Game conversion. Multi Carts. Remix and re-wire. PSP repair. Arcade building and customising. Video Game repair

What do you like about this subject?

I have been a Gamer for a number of years and have moved on to the hardware side of consoles because of my thirst for knowledge. (In my real job I am a programmer and if I put my mind to it could develope software. I have several unfinished works I should get around to finishing)

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

I am still learning the finer points on systems such as X-box 360 & PS3. But I am usually good and find it out anyway regardless of what it is, which also include games.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

Most Genisis/MD games are both English & Japanese (2 Versions on 1 Cartridge) and change when inserted into either a English or Japanese system. The USA & Japanese SNES are identical hardware wise exept the cartridge slots are different. You can play the Cartridges on wrong system if only you can get the cartridge to fit. Ever Wonder what happened to the SNES CD? It became the Playstation.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

I don't understand the mentality of making machines territory locked? Not having universal systems is just plain stupid it just duplicated hardware manufacturing needlessly. I still have a hard time beleiving I can play a Sonic game on any Nintendo equipment. Something 10 years ago would have been unbelievable.
