Hello, They can stay in Brazil for 3+3 months. They can do whatever they want but cannot work. If you are a Brazilian Permanent Visa you might have more information than myself regarding visa for foreigners
Sorry Victor, but I understood that the University was sponsoring you from the beginning! If you enter with a tourist Visa you can stay 6 months BUT you cannot work. You said you don' t mind to wait.
Hi Victor, I think it won't be a problem if you request your Visa once working at the University. But be sure they will provide help and facilitate your papers otherwise you will not be able to stay
