I can take questions about general geology, and mineralogy. In addition I have some expertise in the field of mineral deposits related to igneous rocks and igneous processes, especially processes pertaining to the formation of alkaline and siliceous igneous rocks.
I am a masters of science degree student on economic geology.
This is a free booklet on classification of igneous rocks I have translated from English to Farsi which is available for Farsi-speaking users for free use. http://rapidshare.com/files/64295631/Classification_of_Igneous_rocks.pdf
I have a bachelor's degree on general geology from Tehran university, Iran. And now I am doing my Masters of science. Right now, I am doing a research on deposits related to granitic igneous rocks such as uranium deposits.
Geology is a multi-facet science. I like mineralogy and geochemistry the most. Currently there are a lot of things unkonwn and a lot of study yet has to be done.
I hope I will be able to publish an article about the deposits available in granitic rocks soon in one of the international magazines.

Dear Niaz Your question cannot be answered easily. It is a subject that covers a broad range of issues. But I can say that pegmatites are highly fractionated melts costituting high amounts of volatile
Dear David Thank you for your good question. The crystal system of a mineral does not define its underlying Bravais lattices. On the contrary, it is the underlying unit cell of the crystal which defines
Dear Prashant In searching for underground water there is a method which uses the resistivity or in other words the electric conductivity of the rocks in an area. As you might know when there is water
