Having visited London a number of times in the past few years I am familiar with many of the old as well as new attractions to see. The best way to get around London is by the Underground. From Convent Garden I believe that you would walk to leicester square stop and that the train to Embankment. From there you take another train(

Here are some good areas to stay in. Mayfair Soho- most expensive. Near Trafalgar square etc.Most centrally located Another good area- Bloomsbury Marble Arch. Kensington - Earls Court- Knightsbridge
