I can answer questions about Christian doctrine. I have over twenty-two years of formal education and served in Christian ministry for almost thirty-five years. My specialties are in the areas of doctrine, hermeneutics, history, apologetics, and philosophy.
I have a vast and broad education in all the areas of study needed to be able to correctly recognize what the writers of the Bible wanted their readers to understand. I have taught biblical doctrine for many years to thousands of people, many of whom exclaimed that I was the best of the best when it came to helping people be confident of what the truth really is.
Eight years of formal study and over 50 years of private study and research.
I like knowing the truth about what the Bible teaches so that I never need to feel afraid that I am being lied to or defrauded. I like helping others to come to that level of assurance and knowledge. Long ago I realized that if that is not possible we are in a lot of trouble.
I hope to convince people that we can know what the Bible actually teaches. In fact, we must be able to know or else God has no way of justly punishing unbelievers. This, in turn, would mean that the Bible is not what it's writers claim and, as the apostle Paul said, "We, of all people, are in a most miserable situation."
One of the things that most people do not know is that the popular understanding of the term "faith" is not the understanding used by the writers of the Bible. The popular concept of "faith" is the same as that used by those people in the Bible who were worshippers of false gods and followers of false teachers.
I think that the most controversial thing about this subject is that so many people are so unnecessarily wrong about the nature of Christian doctrine and the biblical God.
Hi Richard, In your last question you said, "I wonder if such experts are not more enamoured with rules, than with real people." The simple answer is yes, they are. It's a clear sign of a legalistic mindset
Hello Xiao, I'm impressed! I believe that you're the very first person who has ever asked about this extremely important thing. It's absolutely critical to correctly understanding God and his way of
Hi Richard, I see that you've addressed your question to someone else but I'd like to add a couple of cents worth if you don't mind. The problem you're having with locating the "line in the sand" indicates
Hello Jeremy, I think this; God is definitely for capital punishment because love demands it and God is love. Everything he does is motivated by love. God loved Israel and he commanded them to kill
Hi Amelia, Sorry for the delay. I was moving. The notion of "being human" is used different ways. The most common way is to mean to treat people the way you'd want them to treat you; to be a nice person
