I am equipped to answers questions from a Biblical viewpoint from children to adults on "How to overcome depression, fear, anger, perfectionism and other emotional stress?" I can also answer questions about "Why do I sin, even though I`m a Christian?", "Why does God seem to be angry with me?", , "How can I know God loves me?", "How can I learn to love others?", "What is the Christian life all about?", "How can Jesus help me solve problems at work?", " "How do I escape being trapped by the sins of adultry,lying, stealing, anger, criticizing others, physically abusing people, vulgar language, pornography, homosexuality or prostitution?", and "How do I deal with my teen-aged child who has announced that they are `gay`?"

Experience in the area

I've taught adult home Bible studies for nearly 25 years. I currently teach two home Bible studies and one Sunday adult Bible study each week. I am an off air counselor at the live Christians life & Bible questions radio program. Here I take questions off the air, when there's not enough time left to handle them on the program. I am also a phone counselor during the day, when people call in outside of the broadcast times. I've spent over 30 years in youth work from pre-K to High School. I've had numerous leadership positions in several churches/fellowships. I've been a conference speaker for youth and adults and have served as a guest speaker for a few pastors and have led music from time to time. I have worked with people involved in prison ministry. I'm a certified HS teacher in mathematics with 7 years of classroom experience.

What do you like about this subject?

From personal experience and opportunities to serve others,I am constantly humbled by Christ's abililty to meet me where I am no matter how hard-headed I may become. His faithfulness and love keep me going and rescue me from my own foolishness.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

Part of growing in the love and grace of God has been learning to see adversity as something that works for me in God's hands - what is meant for evil really works for my good as I see my weakness and learn to submit to God instead of my circumstances. I hope to have more opportunity to speak and write of the glory of Jesus.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

Without a doubt John 3:16 is the most well known verse in the Bible. But the next two verses are of incredibly EQUAL importance: "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."
