Expertise: Professional towing and recovery operator for 29 Plus years, dealing with light to heavy duty towing operations... Nationally certified by various agencies - associations.. I know that many people do not understand vehicle towing when ordered by Law Enforcement or from Private Property Parking lots, which I will try to help with. BUT, I am not versed in RV TOWING ISSUES, or actual law cases or proposed cases...

Experience in the area
I have 29+ years of towing experience dealing with everything from Light duty ( cars and pickups ) to tractor trailer rigs, motor homes and buses.. Motor clubs to police calls, lockouts to jumpstarts and tows. I have experienced alot of fun times doing my job. Some have been good experiences and some of have been heart wrenching experiences.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field? I hope to help people with questions about the towing industry. I know there are many areas which people do not understand about towing including problems with illegal parking of vehicles and the towing away of such vehicles. I try to help as much as possible, but changes happen quickly and I can not keep up on all the laws and changes.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know: Did you know there is an " International Towing and Recovery Museum " in Chattanooga Tennessee. You should go check it out if you get out that way

Something controversial or provocative about this subject Why is it that towers are always angels when we rescue a standed motorist, and we are ( insert favorite saying ) when that same person can park in a no parking area and get towed away by the same company. And why is it that motorists fail to move over when emergency vehicles are working on the roadside, did you know that its the law in many states now to " MOVE OVER or SLOW DOWN"

What do you like about this subject? towing is such a wonderfull job, full of adventure and challenges. Helping people is rewarding when there vehicles are in distress.

2008-09-04 trying to get my car back: Not sure what to advise here on this one... I know what you are saying and my guess would be that "you have to obey the laws in the area which you are traveling in" which I know is not much of an answer...

2008-09-03 Where to find Car dollies or carriers for 5K lb load: I did a quick U-Haul search using my pickup as the tow vehicle and they will not allow the Odyssey to be towed on a carrier or dolly... Remember that they own the equipment and want to keep it in great...

2008-09-03 towing issue: Hate to say this but "DO WHAT " If I understand this, your vehicle has "old expired tags" on the plates and have do have the registration current but not tagged and you want to know if I can be towed...

2008-09-03 NYC Towing in a No Parking zone: How did you know it was a "No Parking Zone" to start with or is that what you have determined after it was towed... Certain places in NYC (I have not been there for more than a drive though since 2005...

2008-09-02 storage: unless there is a City set standard where they are, there is no "STATE STANDARD" for storage rates... Alabama is one state where the towing laws are kind of wild as the State Patrol has a "tow regulation"...
