Graduated summa cum laude from Colorado Technical University. Our firm requires CPA continuing education for all staff accountants, whether licensed or not, so I take 80 hours of CPE every two years. Much of it in the field of accounting, auditing, and employee benefit plans.

I agree with your CPA. They need to either pay you back all of the taxes and THEN bill you for the gross amount or the re-bill you for the net amount- for both the draw and the PTO. If you can't get
I'm not sure. I would check with your state's labor board website. Search for withholding pay. Usually, state laws are stricter and more specific than federal laws regarding employment. I'd start there
Not generally, no. Although some companies I've worked with will allow the employee to be paid the 8 hours as well (but not overtime) if they want it. But most employees would rather save the sick time
