You are here:
Crete, Santorini, Peloponnese, Athens....Greece. If you have special questions about visiting Greece. Anything from fact to opinion about visiting!
Worldwide travel over more than 20 years, in cheap and cheerful and sublime luxury modes; from chain hotels to many invitations to stay in homes, barns, half built houses and more.
Love the place, much visited and now living in Crete. As I'm creating the greatest website about any destination......but, about Greece, your questions help me learn more about what people need and want to know.
What information people really need when they travel, what helps anyone get a richer, more delight-filled experience of their visit, wandering or holiday/vacation.
There are lakes and you can (at a pinch) even ski in Crete! Vines in Santorini are grown in a circular swirl on the ground, not typically upright, so as to grab moisture and be protected against island winds.
The famed Cretan Kri-Kri (like a goat) is almost non-existent, if you are served this as a dish in a restaurant - ask some detailed questions to try and make sure it's the real thing (perhaps you might be concerned at helping to make such a creature extinct?)

Prue Best always to check on www.gtp.gr to see any ferries that may be offered in Greece. Bear in mind that many ferry services for May may not be announced until Januaryor February! At the airport
Stacy Strangely and often with little convenience for those such as you planning a trip well in advance, ferry schedules are often not finalised until January. It is likely there will be a faster
Bernice It's not bad really as cruises (for me) never stay long enough in any one place you get to and really like! It will be dark by 9 in the evening so you will see the sunset, quite special.
Gaurav A little pressed for time today so apologies for brevity! I suggest Mykonos as it is closer to Athens This is a time of year when weather conditions can delay or have ferries canceled, so
Steve Many addresses in Greece do not mention a street address. I would send the package as you have written it on your question, the zip code (61300) is the village/town and they will likely know
