November 8th...on this day in 1977 the tomb of Philip of Macedon was discovered by Greek Arch. Monolis Andronikos. I'm wondering why it wasn't found centuries earlier ? The tomb of the father of Alexander is at VERGINA and is a very popular tourist site now in Northern Greece.
It is November, beaches are now mostly deserted in Greece and the season of sun is gone til mid or late March. But this is still a wondertime for seeing the country without crowds and with good bargains on Pensions etc. ME? I am still thinking of beautiful islands and nude beaches for 2010 .
