What do you like about this subject?

I like the way children "heal", usually very fast!

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

We are all students throughout life. I live to see my patients get well and smile back at me (and at their parents) once again.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

Caring for children requires skills, knowledge and experience, but above all, it requires an innate love and a kindly disposition; it demands unlimited powers of observation and an astute sense of detection; finally, the Pediatrician must be, at all times, sensitive to the needs of the often panicky parents.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

Nothing of that sort!

2016-06-10 Pooping:

2016-05-04 pneumococcal vaccine:

Dear Manisha,    This is a very expensive vaccine and hence, the government is not giving it. It is not that it is not required. They do not give it as it is not on their programme. You should definitely

2016-04-24 Milk in babys breast:

Dear Manisha,    Absolutely not. This is the answer to the question on science behind squeezing. Babies' breasts have milk in them as they contain maternal hormones in their blood-stream for about a fortnight

2016-04-19 IPV vaccine:

Dear Janeesh,    There are several recent changes made to the immunisation schedule by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and the way your baby received the polio injections twice followed by an oral dose
