In general terms i feel i am qualified to answer questions on culture here and practical tips on how to get along in terms of life. Italy is a country that should you be looking to move beyond just a holiday visit requires a good knowledge of the legal system. Unfortunately a lot of my knowledge is based on a European bias and advising people outside of the EU zone requires more care but i do have a pretty wide knowledge of where to look and will be able to assist in that respect.
Have lived in Italy now for almost ten years of which nine have worked with my Italian wife who runs a registered Italian real estate agency. On that basis i have worked with professionals on all sides from construction to legal problems regarding living in Italy , costs of property purchases and restoration so feel confident in being able to answer questions in those fields. I have also made myself very aware of problems here with the seismic activity throughout Italy in general and specifically the Abruzzo region doing extensive research long before the recent L,Aquila disaster as there is a wealth of information in general in Italian which is available to all but difficult to research without a good Italian knowledge base. This sort of knowledge which is commonplace for a native born Italian I believe allows me as i have an interest in all aspects of Italian culture to offer good advice from a very Italian perspective on ways forward in many aspects of those looking to either move here or involve themselves more deeply in Italian culture. My views can often be called subjective but my thoughts are given without bias and based on what to me seems open and free advice which can be taken or left as one wishes.
