Owner of a Discovery. I've had many mishaps with our Disco but I still like this vehicle. Talk to a fellow LR owner instead of a dealership rep. I'm not in this for the money. I'm just an owner who wants to help others.

Increase knowledge of Land Rover vehicles, replacement parts, create and maintain an alternative parts list.
Alternative parts are available; some dealers are fair and can be trusted. Haynes manuals can be used here in N.Amercia
Don't judge LR mechanics just their dealerships.

Hi Raymond, if you are having trouble with your OBDII connector it could be that the ECM is not recognizing the link. Not a good sign. Sometimes the ignition switch is faulty and this could trigger
Hi Jerry, the code listed are too vague. You should take your Disco to an independent LR shop and have them perform complete diagnostics using a testbook. They will be able to identify the failing
Hi John, leaving the ignition on position II for 5 minutes won't do much except drain your battery. I'm not aware of any reprogramming sequence with series II Disco's - other than the dealership devices
Bonjour Peter, sounds like all the indicators of a blown headgasket. The fluids were burnt off within the combustion system. Loss of power was probably due to the poor fuel mixture (coolant contaminated)
Hi alaa, could be buildup on your exhaust valves. This has been a common problem and a valve job may be needed. Could also be transmission related and requires a tranny expert to verify. Another
