That noise may mean the pump is going bad, or the filter is getting clogged. Change the filter now as a preventative measure and see what happens. I've seen those pumps get noisy and just be that way
The usual cause of cooler leaks is rust and corrosion. Here at Robison Service (in New England) w end up cutting the lines off and most of the time we have to replace it all - cooler lines, etc. You
