Experience of keeping everything from common Goldfish through to Tatia Reticulata all the to Tetradoan Suvatti. I'm good with Catfish, Goldfish, Puffers and small shoaling fish. Plus I'm based in the UK so any British questioners stop here.

Experience in the area

I've kept lots of different species. Livebearers, Bettas, Puffers, Catfish, Axolotals etc I've lost fish to TB, ich etc. I've thought sod this for a laugh, this is a stupid hobby but I've ploughed on and I've gained loads of experience along the way.

What do you like about this subject?

It tests you everyday. Fish observe you just as much as you observe them. You battle against water, parasites etc and all the while they swim around blissfully unaware. With the carnivores its the sheer power, the way they stalk prey and then strike with incredible precision and strength.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

Loads, there's so much to learn I'd never know it all. I want to try my hand with Firework Rasboras next.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

the catfish sold under the trade name of 'Iridescent Sharks' can grow into 3m long monsters. Avoid at all costs.
