You are here:
I am a National Guard recruiter and localmarketer, been doing it for five years and am a subject matter expert on qualifications for National Guard and I keep up to date on Regular Army regs and programs. I was in the Navy for 4 years and have 11 years in the Guard. I will not sugar coat my answers to you. They are usually short and to the point. If you need more in depth, ask me. Because each situation is differnt, alot of times you need to actually talk to a recruiter and let them evaluate your situation in person, by looking at your documents, issues etc. If I suggest this, it would be in your best interest to do so. Finally...thank you for your interest in serving this great nation of ours. Very few people can actually make the cut to serve let alone choose to do so. So thank you for wanting to and hopefully you will get a chance. Whatever branch you choose, thank you and good luck.
11 years Guard experince, combat missions and homeland missions. 5 years recruiting. I have been a platoon sergeant and squad leader. Mentor to new recruiters and recruits.

Once you DEP in to the Army, there is is nothing that can make you ship to training. If you injur yourself, they wont ship you anyways. But if you change your mind, they will do anything they can to
Dont do it for the Money, thats #1 in my book. Do it for the job you want. If you want 31E, then do it, if you are not sure, or want another job, or like being a 21B, then wait later after you get back
When you discharge from the Air Force, you can talk to a transition recruiter to enlist in the Air Guard, you just have to know where you will live in the states. If the AF does not offer this option
You can have an RE4 and honorable, he must have had some trouble while in the Navy to get that. If it is a mistake, he can request records from St Louis where military reords are kept and request copies
It is doubtful you would be able to, but I would go thru the motions to see if they will accept you. You will need all the Dr notes you got on what surgeries you had and the outcomes as well as prognosis
