Expertise

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.

Experience in the area

I have experience in both deployed and garrision environments as a Military Police Officer.

Education/Credentials

Bachelor of Science in Arabic and French from United States Military Academy at West Point.

What do you like about this subject?

Since I am a professional Soldier I love being able to help new and aspiring Soldiers make the best career choices or just inform their families about life in the military or how to get help. I will always assist as best I can.

2012-03-22 Color Blindness and INTEL:

There are waivers available for color blindness and they're not extremely difficult to get. If that's all you need a waiver for, you'll be ok.  I can tell you from experience I took the farnsworth lantern

2012-03-05 Heart Transplant Waiver:

I can't honestly give you an estimation given the gravity of your medical condition.  Gut tells me you're likely to fail to gain admission to the military just based on the severity, but you should definitely

2012-02-20 Possible OCD/depression in military:

If your information is accurate, your friend is probably not best served by joining the military.  He likely won't make it through the stressful initial entry training period without some kind of an incident

You being an ordained minister makes no difference in the type or characterization of discharge you could receive. If your medical status listed here is truly accurate, I'd go back and talk to the doctors
