Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

All Jehovah's Witness ministers preaching from door to door are not paid money for their volunteer work. Ministers working at the headquarters in New York sign a "Vow of Poverty" to the government and are compensated with food, housing, and other necessities and are provided with a monthly allowance of about $150 a month.
