I can assist with software issues related to the print, graphic design and publishing industries. I have extensive experience with Adobe software (Creative Suite), Microsoft Office, PitStop, MathType, QuarkXPress, Adobe Acrobat workflows and lots more on both the Mac and Windows platforms. I have lots of experience troubleshooting a wide variety software issues, both third-party and OEM. I've created many AppleScript and Automator workflows over the years as well. I can assist with hardware issues related to Apple desktop, portable and server systems. I can assist with Mac OS issues on platforms going back to the G4 series through current models. I have some networking experience. I currently support Mac PPC and Intel systems on Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard platforms. I also support both Tiger and Leopard server OS running on PPC and Intel Xserves.
I have worked in printing, design and publishing since the mid 1990's. I began in the physical production end of the industry and worked my way up through graphic design and have focused on the IT end for the last four years. I have worked for some of the smallest print shops and the largest publishing companies out there. I enjoy the challenge of digging in to technical issues and finding a resolution, I see them as puzzles to be solved. I've even worked as an Apple repair tech, learning a lot about the hardware and software that provides the base. I've also supported Windows users for many years on the software side with some hardware support.
Some college (still working on a BS) work completed focusing on graphics design, print and publishing with a science minor focus.
