Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Even families that don't necessarily live the way we as a society thinks they should live are sometimes more "functional" than the families that seem to have it all!
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I think we all learn something everyday of our lives! I learn something from every individual I have ever worked with. We all have our strengths - sometimes we need help to find them again and build on them.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  I think the fact that we all have strengths. I have found it difficult to find strengths in some of the families I have worked with but yet by stepping back and really looking, their strengths were there and they could be built upon....as strange as that may have seemed at the time.
What do you like about this subject?  I like working with families. I think all families today have difficult choices to make. It is hard to think of the resources that a family/individual may need in order to find solutions to a particular situation.
