What do you like about this subject?

There is so much "to know" about life insurance, investments and such. It's very difficult for untrained people to figure it out, especially when it comes to some taxation issues and beneficiary issues.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

In the US, each state sets it's own laws and regulations in regards to insurance, including "variable" life and annuity products. The federal government only controls the investment and adviser area through "FINRA" and the "SEC". Therefore, sometimes an "expert" such as myself will not be able to answer all the questions you may have on a subject because we do not know the laws of that state.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

There are many radio entertainers who have no specific training or knowledge of this subject, and yet they have the "right" answer for everyone. This subject is much more complicated. More often than not, there are many details in a question that suggest more than one "right" answer.
