Hi Angelick, That all depends on where you live and what programs are available. For example: most Nevada colleges have two year programs and there are colleges that are geared towards translating jobs

Hi Sammy, A cognate is when a word is similar in one language and another. An example of a spanish cognate would be : abandon - abandonar. If you google spanish cognates you will find many more examples
