Alina, What you need is a double process hair coloring. It really shouldnt be done at home non proffesional. But i will give you basic instructions. Try to get a friend to aide you. Get to the beauty

Diana, your question is interesting and slightly challanging. Lets make a reasonable safe color at home choice. Ash brown as u say u are is technically a 4 or 5. So lets pick a level 6 for a color level
Alex, If your have is short to medium then dye it with permanent dye. Long hair dyed black is more of a long term grow out if you decide u dont like it. Go to your local beayty suply a purchase a black
