***Sorry been off for a while.. it's started raining in my country again so I think I'm safe getting some of your cars going again for now*** LOL! Extensive knowledge of cars designed between 1900 and 2000. I have an interest in keeping these early cars on the road, I love the classics and want to keep them around. :)

I get a buzz when I solve a problem, bring an engine to life, I find classic cars impossibly romantic, I enjoy the experience as well as science behind driving, I love to drive.

2012-05-20 Faulty external temp reading:

EDITED AFTER COFFEE    Well, the temp sensor is a thermistor (higher temp causes a higher electrical resistance in a THERMistor).  Looks like either the thermistor is faulty or there's some extra resistance

They are known for fouling the throttle body/duct with oil.    Only thing you can do is remove any oily parts, clean with carb cleaner.   run the engine and spray carb cleaner (with the intake fully assembled)
