Hi Grant great Question It is not recommended using #15 pound felt for a wood shake liner. I recommended using a #30 felt 18" wide or 22" wide so the shakes will have only a 10" weather exposer
Hi Mitch You could nail down the staples and then seal them, add nails as well next to the staples and seal the tops of them both, If you choose to do nothing the staples will come back up down the
Hi Mitchell From the picture It looks like nails are coming up from ridge area pull nails that are coming up and renail the ridge, Looking at the picture can not see the field area, what you need
Hi Mitchell When removing the old nails from ridge area fill hole with a good caulking ( sicaflex is one ) When adding new nails also seal the top of that nail with same caulking it should last
