I can answer any question you got about Guinea pigs,Rats, Hamsters, Mice,Chinchilla's,Gerbils,Hedgehogs, Squirrels, Rabbits...Basically all RODENTS . Feeding, breeding, sexing, cages, illness, places on the internet to learn more, ect.
Right now I have 2 hamsters(hammy and fluffy), 1 rat(Christopher my baby), and 5 ferrets(Oscar, Antonio, Prince, Bobo, and Princess). In 2009, we had 106 rats rescued in our rescue here in Lake City, along with 5 rabbits, 15+ guinea pigs, and hamsters here and there. I have had rodents for quite some time and even run my own pages and a rescue related to rodents. Each year we get several rodents that come in our rescue. From rabbits, rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters, and even exotics. It is fun and where many think that only cats and dogs need a place to come we often forget the little guys.

My education is based on rescuing rodents with the local Suwannee Humane Society, raising my own rodents through the years, and being around others in my area that also raise and breed animals. I also run my own local rodent rescue called Paws of Love Animal rescue. We take only rodents (and some rabbits) even if they are caught wild.

I like anything related to animals. I love talking about rodents and helping others make better homes for their own pets. It is a joy to make another feel more at peace and happy.
Learning is 24/7 and the more you learn the better that you can help others and yourself. I hope to never stop learning and to never think that I know everything, because the joy of having animals is learning new things that make your experiences more enjoyable.

The answer is both yes and no. Sometimes they can live together if they are very social and well tammed. However each need different food and activities. Rats love to swim and to climb where guinea pigs
